messages I think. (joking!)

On the Guys only thread I am asking what guys put in initial messages and what has worked.

Well, it seems only a handful of guys ever write a message.

Or maybe those who do are not in the forums.

Anybody help?

I didn’t comment cause I don’t use chat up lines and I never message first, unless it was thread related, I was going to say some bollocks about ‘hey love, you wanna do a Brexit and leave the single market?!’ or some shit and then say that woman is now my wife, but I think I’ve said that one before and to be honest my heart wasn’t in it.

I’m here for the Forum only. I don’t venture beyond it. As a result, were I to send a message first, it is thread related and I receive a reply.

It doesn’t much help with your enquiry, I’m afraid.

I get some lovely messages. Some crap too, in many ways. But some really nice, well thought out messages. There are some great guys on fab, and it's a shame they often get passed by.

I tend to only message from the forums and that's normally about the thread....its called starting a conversation x

Learnt pretty quickly my first time how it went here so this time round just really enjoying forums, literally don't even browse profiles unless the are on forum. Get lots of fabs, nice comments and short chats from forum. If someone wants to get to know me better they can contact me though. I totally understand why lot of the ladies have their defenses up here and I'm not pushy so Ill let them lead. Fab is a woman's world.

I send very few messages now, it's virtually pointless as very few get any response and even less get a positive reply so now I browse and post in the forum. If I want to meet people (now that I can),I'll go to a club.

This is the circular argument for messaging or not. You create a well thought out message, you take the time and the effort, make note of the profile and may reflect some of the detail. Send it an it goes in the bin - you do it a few times goes in the bin, then you think why bother just say FAF gets the same result - then women come into the forum and moan - why do guys not make any effort - then the excuse that women get soooo many messages - then it all starts again. simples

Genuinely thought this was satire.

But in all seriousness, I get around 30 inboxes a day & usually reply to those that are more than 3 words & catch my attention
