Not sure why I thought this....if you're a nurse.. can you have tattoos?....

Are there any occupations where tattoos are still frowned upon?

You can have them, it's not against the rules.

I think that being the monarch means you can't have tattoos on your face

Most professions can, some employers just don't like them to be on display.

Police can’t on hands face neck or ears. And no facial piercings either.

I'm a nurse and I have tattoos.

Not noticeable in my uniform though.

I work as a physical therapist and I am not allowed to have visible tattos ( on face, neck or hands). These are the only restrictions (regarding tattos) anyone can enforce in any working environment

I’m a nurse, I have tattoos. I don’t wear a uniform, so mine are always on view.

Things have evolved since Florence and Mary

"Police can’t on hands face neck or ears. And no facial piercings either. "

They also have to wear long sleeved shirts if they are on their lower arms or are visible past a short sleeve.

Not in West Mercia they don't. They can have tattoos uncovered and on display, they aren't allowed to have images depicting any kind of hate or symbols relating too

They dont seem to have that rule in Essex. An officer that came to my work the other day had a full sleeve and a short sleeve shirt.

It must depend on individual force policy. I know cops with sleeves and hand/neck tattoos, and they don't have to wear long sleeves.

I know some very tattooed nurses and midwives. I think the only profession I've heard of these days where they can be an issue is standard fashion modelling (obviously fine for alt fashion modelling).
