I never ask anyone's age at a club.

These sites mess with your head with preferences - I find it no big deal if someone lies about their age.

I've done it in the past. Nobody believes I'm over 50. So I use to have a profile 10 years younger.

I think guys are more lenient towards an age of a women.

If you're attracted to them facially, I wouldn't bother looking at age....

Before someone pipes up. I've had different age groups on my settings.

Well, depends on the context. If you don’t act your age and you are after meaningless sex then have at it. Otherwise, it’s a difficult lie to keep up with.

FYI, I lied about my age all the time 10 years ago, that’s because I acted 10 years older than my age. Pulled it off for a while but have a number of funny stories from when I was caught out.

The smoking one annoys me. As fab doesn't allow any flexibility, in the same way it does for drinking. I will, in the company of smokers enjoy tobacco with them. However, I won't have smoked or have any trace of tobacco odour on my body or clothes, if meeting with people that don't. If there is a social drinker option, why not a social smoker option? You're not being dishonest. How many that tick social drinkers are actually everyday drinkers. Or are fibs about alcohol OK, but not tobacco?

I've no issue with my age and usually get compliments on not looking my age. If that leaves me outside sometimes limits I'm ok with that.

I was in a chat group in 2018 with a guy who had a fab age of 55 but admitted in that group to actually being 58 and to be fair he didn't look it.

That would leave him 61 now but he has a different profile with a fab age of 50.

You can only change your age once after you set up your profile so if they can't change it now it means they already did at some point .

There's a guy local to me with 2 profiles of almost identical usernames but he's late 20s in one and I think 40 ish in another. I'm almost certain it's him as the some of the photos look the same and I think a couple of verifications are the same.

I have absolutely no reason to lie about my age whatsoever as said, if I do not meet someone’s requirements then it is what is I suppose…

If I’m being honest I don’t really take age filters at face value because I’ve met people in real life, we’ve got on like a house on fire and when they’ve found out my age it’s not been an issue most of the time. It is a shame though when you’ve hit it off and then they rule me out when I tell them my age.

In those situations, I think my age didn’t matter before I told you, if we get on why does it all of a sudden matter now?

My age, amongst other things is inaccurate in an attempt to avoid coming up on search to someone who hounded me off of here just over a year ago. It's work thus far. Am I a liar... Technically yes, do I mislead anyone, no I say straight away. Not everything is black and white.

I'm too young for some peoples filters and that's just the way it is.

If I see someone I like in the forums (who I couldn't message because of the age filter) I will still have a chat and if something comes from it then happy days but, similarly, I won't cry if I then get told I'm too young for that person.

In my opinion, threads like this always seems to come back to the same category of people - those having a sense of entitlement and not understanding what swinging is.

I’ve never had anyone lie about smoking before but recently 2 men have ticked the no smoking but then admitted that they occasionally smoke. I hate smoking and not interested in sharing bodies with anyone who smells/tastes of smoke - yuk.
