Check with reception what the rules are.

Everywhere will be different at the moment.

They'll probably need to scan test and trace.

They really do need to know in case of emergencies and having to evacuate the building.

We were in one last week & you needed a card to access the doors once you came out the lift

And the one I was in you needed to buzz reception or use your card for the front door too

check out the travel lodge in perry barr if you get a room on second or third floor you dont have to pass reception to invite guests from car park

Just get a double room.. if arriving at different times tell reception they will be coming later .. text the other person the room number.. they may ask for a name for fire safety reasons.. dont do what I did, only knew her first name although logically i could have said her name and my last name.. but was put on the spot, felt a bit dumb to be honest

The booking is for the room so if you are solo book for 2 guests. They won’t have a problem as long as room stays at or below capacity (fire regs). If you have a room for 2 and 3 stay in there you might get questioned.
