"I'm that smug guy who bought an air con machine last year" I need to buy a portable AC unit. I live in a Grade A energy efficient new build so toasty warm in winter (with hardly any heating on) but boiling hot in summers. Any recommendations?

I got mine from B&Q and it's the GoodHome Takoma 4500BTU (they also do a 9000BTU just depends on the size of your room). Dead simple to set up & has a few different modes including dehumidify. I put it on 15 minutes before I go to bed and the room's nice and cold. It is a bit noisy but the background noise helps me sleep so that doesn't bother me.
