RIP Neil Armstrong. The man responsible for the United States' most unique achievement: planting the Stars and Stripes somewhere without having to kill anyone.

If that wasn't so true it'd be funny.

In the interest of balance, when you look at the war graves behind Omaha Beach in Normandy and see the name of a nineteen year old farm boy from Arkansas...then what he fought and died for deserves respect.

In the interests of balance, that 19y/o boy wouldn't be lying in a French field if Japan hadn't bombed Pearl Harbour. The Americans would not have entered WW2 at all and we'd have struggled to fight the Germans on our own. We actually have the Japanese to thank for us not being German today.

How far do you want to go back?.the Versailles treaty ...would Hitler have written Mein Kampf if the terms of the treaty had been different..would there have been WW2?

Why can't you simply acknowledge the sacrifice made by many young Americans in liberating Europe
