" Wednesday was roasting, I was going down Thursday but the weather stopped me, hope you get more luck later on and hopefully Nudefest will be dry after last year, I am planning another visit at Nudefest again | |||

I was told as you are looking inland the right half of the dunes is gay/bi, where more straight area is to the left side. It may have changed. Watch out they sometimes have wardens patrolling. keep a towel handy that sand gets everywhere | |||

"Thinking of heading down Wednesday. Any advice for a respectful newby? Where to park? Which part of the dunes to be in? TIA x" Along Ferry Road is popular parking it may be pay n display now, and there is a foot path opposite Bramble Bush Bay that takes you to the Nudist area on east side of Ferry Road . You have to get there early tho. Or the first car park as you come off the Poole Harbour Ferry near Shell Beach is Pay n display again fills quickly. The other pay n display is further South down Ferry Road it's called Knoll Beach Car Park, it has refreshments and ample parking. The Walk to the Nudist beach is a stiff one but not a killer. Depends what you're carrying tent blanket wise. You come out of car park onto Knoll Beach turn left and up the beach to the nude beach, signposted. The left half of the nude beach is usually bi/gay. If you're looking to the sea. Be wary of wardens some can pull people up for lewd behaviour if having fun in the dunes. They are usually fairly unseen and leave people be. Best to Google in case any car parks are closed for maintenance. | |||

How strange - whenever we go, or several times a year for over 30 years, the naturist beach has been full of families. There are naturist families, couples and singles - you don't have to be a swinger yo be naturist. Moreover the NT patrol the dunes - they are looking for a reason to shut down the naturist stretch. | |||

" I agree. Naturism and swinging are two separate things. I really don’t like it when they get combined because that then gives those who want to shut down the naturist aspect a weapon to do so. I know the dunes are busy and have been for years but I still don’t like it. | |||

"Whoa some folks have some very misguided ideas as to what a naturist beach is, it is a designated area for folks who enjoy naturism and that would include families and children. The whole of Studland is very much a family place and it is a beautiful place. If you are going to indulge in sexual activity please keep it very discreet and not on the beach, the vast majority of folks there would not want to witness sexual activity."
