My dog tends to kill the grass. Not too helpful really.

Mowing isn't great for wildlife.

On that not theres research being done...basically remember the days you'd get home from driving and you'd see splattered bugs on your windscreen, have noticed you dont have as many?

Well theres this thing whereby you wipe your number plate clean and after a journey count the number of splats and upload the number.

Bugs are in decline, not good

Hmmm...very good points. Although midges are on the rise

I have a patch that I leave wild and have planted wildflowers. I've also got a couple of insect hotels (old woodpiles) and LOTS of trees. Does this help?

Does being a ladybird give you a feeling of affinity with other bugs?
