Currently having a battle of wills with my (black) dog

He wants to be outside, but he's overheating within 30 seconds

I want to let the warm air in the house so the back door is open

Keeps trying to slink past me when I'm not looking

I do wish we could tell them that lying on cool tiles, out of direct sunlight, getting wafts of warm air is much better for them
