When you warm your plate in the oven, preping to eat the best rice ever and you forget the plate.

Now..it's a too hot plate...a cold plate or start again

I hated it when I turned the oven on to pre heat, stuck ma joint of lamb in, then when I went to check on it after about half an hour it was stone cold

I'd only pre heated the top oven

I blamed the wine

Stick the plate in a microwave for 40 seconds or so depending on power. It really works.

Nope I place my plate on top of the hob whilst cooking in the oven or put it in the microwave once everything is on the plate as I like to add a little bit of seasoning/garnish for that extra bit of taste

Heated plates (or lack thereof) will always remind me of my darling Grandad. We waited with bated breath in food establishments to be sure the plate was warmed. He did NOT like a cold plate
