I seem to be noticing this trend of “onlyfans” type websites where you can subscribe to see someone one doing whatever they do. I have no wish to colour anyone’s opinions but what are your feelings about these sites and those that use sites like this to promote pay for content type websites?

Feelings about those sites.... rock on and fill your boots.

If I thought I'd make anything from it then who knows, I might give it a bash even (doubtful.... no one needs to be seeing that shiz)

Promoting it on sites like this..... hell no. Not what this is about.

No one forces you to subscribe.

If people can monetise something they have, fair play. I know I would if I felt it would be worth it.

There is still a wealth of free porn out there if all you want is to get your rocks off.

"Good luck to them if I was thirty years younger I would of done it"

The only kinda downside to it is that porn stays on the web so it might be an easy money now but maybe not the best idea for the future.

Then again if you can buy a house being on OF for a few years, why the heck not lol

Sex has been monitised since the invention of money; in the primate world there has been observations of female chimps exchanging sex for food. This is nothing new, only the vehicular for it has changed.

If people want to earn money from sex/sexual services/sexual content then what is the difference between that and earning money from any other service?

As _dwalu2 said - sex work is work.

Go into it with your eyes open and and understanding that the images/footage etc will be online forever but if you are good with that then rock on.

If it's legal and someone is doing it of their own freewill then I don't see anything wrong with it.

There are some articles about OnlyFans which are complimentary as it allows the content creators to control their own content and monetise it (OnlyFans takes 20% of revenue thus giving the performer 80%). It is effectively a paywall for porn.

There also seems to be a growing trend for more mainstream celebrities to be using the site.

It's better than the offer I got this morning of partaking in a gangbang and leaving a £20 "donation" once I'd completed my bit

Needless to say I declined, but with regards to OF etc I'd say fill your boots. It's an industry with a huge market and if you can use it to your advantage then good on you.

It has it's struggles on your life and mental health but what job doesn't? My last job had a massive negative impact on me and I didn't have to get my dick out once for it. The more time goes on the more I feel like this type of work is being normalised. Not necessarily mainstream but I don't think it will be long before you can tell someone you do it and no one will bat an eyelid.

At least the (predominantly) girls that do it are getting most/more of the money when compared to traditional porn.

If that’s what they want to do, more power to them. I don’t see the sites like OF as being exploitative. No one forces anyone to join and start posting explicit pictures in return for money.

Plenty of people here actively enjoy posting explicit content, and do it for free. If some of those people also decide they want to make some money out of it, why not? There’s no higher moral path to doing it for free vs being paid for it, in my opinion

I say good luck to them

No one forces anyone to subscribe

& it takes time & money to find nice outfits to wear and post, if people want to see the images why shouldn't they contribute towards the costs involved

Many offer chat services which I think is a great idea, because I genuinely believe many people on here are only on here for the chat and fantasy, which is why I won't engage in drawn out conversations, if you want to w@no & chat, go & pay one of the only fans girls, don't waste my time

There’s more openness now than before, people willing to express themselves or their sexuality more publicly. So rather than condemning their neighbour Claire who’s just bought a Land Rover, their neighbours will most likely want to know how they can make some money themselves.

The days of having to justify your actions by doing this type of work is fading and being seen as entrepreneurship more than exploitation.

Good luck to them

Personally I think it presents a bit of a feminist dilemma in that

a) it’s great it’s your body, be proud of it and you show it how and to who you want and if you can generate an income from it, brilliant, it can be empowering. and

b) I believe it encourages the objectification of women amongst men and gives a false narrative that women can be “purchased” like an object (the fact that all of us who have jobs are also “purchased” to a degree notwithstanding)

Now I know that’s a very simple take on things and hardly nuanced, but I always think that when we put a price on people we actually “devalue” people. People should be priceless. And that the simple act of putting a price on yourself can have a knock-on negative impact to others of your gender because of the generalisation of social beliefs.

((I know that men and others also have these sites, but I think it’s predominantly women))

It’s fine, innovative publishers are always looking for new ways and new experiences to monetise content and IP and it opens up new possibilities.

I’ve no need to pay but I’ve tried a few out for free as I was interested in certain ideas of experience , I think it’s good to be creative and push and challenge the boundaries of digital experience. I was sceptical at first and still think only fans is t a great company but I think they have started something that has a lot more possibilities to be realised when more creatives and entrepreneurs get into it

Physically fit people on TV do not distort people’s minds. We aren’t gym fit but it takes nothing more than good food and exercise to ensure you have a ‘fit’ body. Huge amounts of people here have one and they work to ensure they do. I think it’s ludicrous that body positivity movement (which was good to begin with) is now - even in the mainstream - trying to suggest it’s completely fine to not be healthy. This is damaging far more than suggesting people should be fit. There’s zero wrong with it. Not everyone chooses or should have to choose to be physically toned but it is in the realm of every single human being to have the body of a model. We aren’t anything near that and don’t expect anyone to be, but that’s choice. It’s gone from size zero girls to Tess Holiday on the cover of Cosmo and if anything, neither of those is a good image to promote to young people. Average body, good diet, plenty of movement and anyone can grow up with a fit and healthy frame. Aside from rare medical reasons (which are rare!).

"Personally I think it presents a bit of a feminist dilemma in that
