Tomato on a full English??

Personally, tinned for me. Fresh grilled is just wrong and doesn’t belong near a breakfast.

Fresh for preference but either will do. Fresh grilled tomato and bacon is delicious!

Fresh.

Just hot through. Slightly blackened skin , soft enough but NOT sloppy.

Tinned Toms are ghetto or for sauces only ..

Tinned. Frsh grilled with kippers though.

I also like fresh sliced uncooked tomatoes on toast as well as tinned tomatoes on toast (not at the same time lol)

I used to work for a local salad grower and importer as an office junior but every now and then I'd get asked to be on a quality assurance panel taste testing different tomatoes bought from supermarkets etc. Heaven!

We also used to get given loads to take home as a bonus

I like both. If having tinned try Asda extra special pomodorini cherry tomatoes , picked in southern Italy, perfect simmering in beautiful Italian sauces

Oooh, bring on the toms! Tinned plum toms are delicious with a cooked brekky. But fresh grilled will do, too.

Interestingly, tomatoes are better for you when they're cooked x

If there's a choice, fresh everytime. You'll be saying tinned mushrooms over fresh next.

It's something to do with the heating process releasing lycopene (I think that's what it's called!)

Probably why the Mediterranean diet is considered so healthy x

The sauce on the beans is lovely.

I've never heard of anyone draining the sauce off them before.

Ah well we are all different I suppose.

I’ll flick a tinned tomato off the plate and never go back. If they can’t be bothered to grill me a fresh tomato! Tinned is just sugary mush.

If you’re sensitive to Nightshade veggies this can affect your skin and joints terribly.

Tinned or roasted or fried, fresh.
