Actually I'm a bit like jack Dee I come across as a real downer but just have a dry sense of humour and I hide my insecurities behind sarcasm.

Apart from that I'm a really happy bloke.

Used to always be a happy person until I met my now ex, who put me though an unbelievable amount of shit, so now I'm more on the "miserable git" side... Although I'm slowing coming out of that deep dark hole

To be honest I find life a struggle in many ways. I am a loner and spend much of my life alone but can smile at the times I am expected to smile. I work, sleep and eat. I am not miserable but far from happy.

I am a happy go-lucky person. I'm quite jokey & upbeat and cos I tease a lot I often get accused of being cheeky or smart arse...

This just goes to show how deceptive an online persona can be- or how easy it is to misread another's life. Your posts are generally pragmatic and kind and your pics have a cheeky playfulness to them. It's not nice to hear people find life a struggle so I hope you find a way to change this.

For myself, apart from a few short years where I had what I believe to be a mental breakdown, I am a happy and optimistic person. Strangely I'm somewhat of a nihilist, I don't believe life has any reason or purpose but I'm happy to act as though it does for me. I'm also aware that however hard things may seem my life would be a vision of heaven on earth to the majority of people who have ever lived.

I try to be, I want to be, but I rarely feel it anymore.

Even when my mood is in an 'up' phase, I wouldn't say I feel happy.

I see the worst in most things, and I feel things deeply. Sometimes that's a horrible way to live.
