So, still got 10 days or so to go till the Tokyo 2020 olympics. Question is:

What sports are you looking most forward to watch?

I’m going to have my eyes on Diving, The gymnastics (particularly women’s), Synchro swimming, Fencing and also I quite like the swimming

Have they introduced new sports btw?

Can’t wait for the opening ceremony as the Japanese can pull out some amazing scenic things and hope for lots of reference from the past obviously, and animations/video games too

But also the track sports, gymnastics, and maybe some of the table tennis

I'm not a sports fan of any description, but if I turned on my telly and the men's gymnastics happened to be on I probably wouldn't change channel

I’m not feeling it to be honest. Used to be so hyped about them. The buzz when it came to London was amazing.

Guess I don’t keep an eye on who is going to be good anymore.

Hope it brings some excitement to the world after what’s been happening

As a Karateka I’m very much looking forward to the Olympic debut of Karate and will be supporting my friend Ilja Smorguner

I'm looking forward to it but I won't feel the same without the crowds.

Wow! Had no idea they did skateboarding. I wonder how they are gonna judge the winners?

I also struggle to follow sports to be fair but I try my best during the olympics! (And I only follow some bits rather than the whole thing of course)

I’ve always been a track and field fan. I just hope that athletes in events like long jump, pole vault and others that draw energy from the crowd aren’t affected too much. It’s gonna be weird without spectators.

I bloody love the Olympics.

I remember the threads on here when it was London and we were all watching the opening ceremony. Not a bitchy comment in sight.... Glorious.

I genuinely watch as many sports as I can but I do enjoy athletics and swimming. Gymnastics as well.

Will be tuning in as much as possible.

Then of course the paralympics after.

Go team GB!

Much like they do the ski/snowboard stuff at the winter Olympics. There will be technical element that they have to include in their programme and it will be based on execution of those.

Makes sense!! It’s always nice to new addition to the Olympics!

Does anyone know if they still include Rhythmic gymnastics? As in the girls/athletes who use the ball, the staff, the hoola hoops and the lace/string?

I looooove that as well!
