Anyone seen the new MCU movie Black Widow?

If so what did you think of the movie?

I enjoyed it, I think Florence Pugh was great in it. I hope to see more of Yelena (which I hear we will do in the Hawkeye series, don't know if anyone here watches the Disney+ shows.)

Yeah it was a good film.saw it on screenX. Clearly people still not see a marvel film and leave before the. End credits. Harper form Strange Things was good as the Red Guardian.

We watched it last night on Disney+.

Decided it was better to pay £20 and see it as often as we wanted, than £80 to see it once at the cinema. We’d have been going as a family, hence the cost.

It does make me wonder what the future of cinemas will be, given the Disney+ business model.

Saw it on Wednesday, gotta love those Meerkats.

Florence Pugh stole the show, and I hear is up for an Oscar nomination for her role. Fair play she did most of the 'acting'.

Standard Marvel affair in terms of the plot and sequences, a good watch but I found it refreshing that it poked fun at it's characters.

I watched it last night, friend was round and forgot anout post credit, but revisited today. I'm not going right back again today I watched Captain America First Avenger, just coming to the end of Captain Marvel

I watched it this evening, really enjoyed it, as usual some good action sequences which you expect for a marvel film.

Releasing the movie on their streaming platform before or at the same time as the cinematic release. Previously we had to wait between 3 months & 3 years to see it.

It made sense for us to pay £20 to watch at home instead of going to the cinema and paying 80-100. In this particular case, I don’t think it made much difference where it was watched. The same would not be true for Infinity Wars & Endgame where the massive battle scenes need a massive screen to do them justice.

I’ve loved going to the cinema since I was a child because of the ‘treat’ factor but I’m worrying/concerned that this form of streaming is going to hurt the cinemas.

Have Disney+ and working my way through them in timeline order (thank you Disney) and just got to Agree if Ultron, hopefully by the time i get there it will be free anyway, lol, always to much else to do

2 thoughts, did they do this before covid? I'm not a cinema fan but I can imagine having the option to pay 20 especially if you have a family/ low income is a better option. Their still making money.

The other I wonder if cinemas will become places of expereinces, maybe disney buying up the failing cinemas and then only releasing in them.

I also feel that there model is predomently merch, you have the disney side and then the marvel side,disney side could work on child pester power and marvel the adults, parents buying for thier kids as well as them selves.

I've never been a cinema person and what with covid i suspect there are many that just wouldnt want to be in a perceived Petre dish

We loved it.

I did feel that it lacked depth in places, that certain themes could have been explored more but as standard Marvel fare it was exactly as expected and definitely delivered on the action.

I really enjoyed David Harbour and the dynamic between the ‘family’, how they wove the origin story into the narrative and the central relationship between the two leads was beautifully played.

I think that it’s great that Marvel are (finally) catering to other groups, Black Panther, Captain Marvel and this have all been celebrated.

Looking forward to Shan Chi now!

It will be interesting to see, especially after the recent legal action that Scarlett Johansson has taken, and Emma Stone is considering.

Well, that's thanks to Disney pushing Perlmutter out that they can now reach other audiences.
