I thought it was a monumental moment in history. Nicky wanted to watch come dine with me....

Fairly sure I'm right. M

How is this a monumental moment in history? A billionaire tax dodger starts up a billionaires only flight club to take other billionaires on space trips.

It'll be no benefit to anyone who is not in his club.

You are right, definitely a monumental moment in history, I know loads will disagree with it being Branson, but good on him, a vision and he's made it reality.

Fareham

It was a pretty momentous occasion, just a shame the youtube stream was a bit crap. We can fly to the edge of space and beyond, but we still can't transmit flawless HD video in real time

It was over a lot quicker than I thought it would be too

£250,000 for a few minutes of darkness and weightlessness.

£3.70 I can visit swimming center, close my eyes under water and feel just as weightlessness

And those things are definitely exactly the same.

visiting the beach

Bit like me driving hours up the A1, but when I get to the "Welcome to Scotland" sign turning for home.

Not *that* monumental. 85km up, which isn't even space, unless you're an American. Ugh.

I'm glad the bulk of us agree.

IMHO touching distance commercial space flight occured today and that's an important thing.

Maybe in 70 years or so we will look back at that moment as similar to first man on the moon. Maybe.

But yes, YouTube stream was shite!

Ps 7:45pm on Sunday night. Come on England!
