I usually have a drink and listen to music hopefully get some of the bad vibes out of my system then try to focus my mind on the positives.

Sorry to hear things are tough.

I usually withdraw and do stuff that I love to do like a long roadtrip or a walk in the mountains

I tend to write out what my pain points are, and then set out a series of things that are in my control, as well as those things that aren’t in my control. Against each of those I can control, I put a plan of what I will do to mitigate/manage as best I can.

I also keep my goals/ambitious - even very small and seemingly insignificant things - up to date , with a similar plan against each. Steps to success. It makes me feel alike I’m keeping moving and making progress (which, of course, is true, even when it doesn’t feel like it).

And I eat chocolate.

And come on FAB to get pilloried as a single guy and cheer myself right up

X

Sorry to hear that OP. Personally if it’s a general low mood I like to be alone and rest, eat some good food, maybe a walk. If something specific is pulling me down then I try and find a friend to talk it through with, and share the problem.

Listen to music

Have a bubble bath and a pamper

Go for a nice long walk

Hope you are feeling better soon

I’d also add that I wouldn’t place responsibility for being cheered up with someone else. Better off doing it yourself, although it’s nice to be cheered up my someone unexpectedly!

I leave hubby alone.. If he's down or annoyed, the first thing he does is apologise and takes himself off to bed. I went through phased of trying to help, but experience says just to leave him to it.

When I'm feeling that way out he knows a string arm round me and a shoulder to cry on works.. That and kfc...

If people do not understand the situation, I want to be left alone. If people understand, sometimes I want them to cheer me up.

Reflect on your own as only you can mend the problem. Once solved share with another that helps
