Hey op,

I know sometimes you don't want to talk, but I work in mental health and have a serious passion for it.

So if there is anything you would like to talk about I'm more than happy to be an ear. We're all friends here, don't suffer in silence. But also take your time if needed.

Depression is shit.. I'm with you there.

Chats open to anyone that needs to vent, talk etc..

Just being there for someone with depression can help make things easier for them.

I've been there op, pretty close to ending my life on a few occasions if it wasnt for others.

People care mate, theres always a better way and things can improve to the point it seems a distant memory.

Just keep fighting but the most important thing is to talk.

Op - whatever you feel, it’s valid. No one can tell you how to deal with this, but please know there’s support here for you.

Be kind to yourself, our lives are tough at the moment on so many levels.

Depression is exactly the sort of thing exasperated by endless lockdowns. Many of my friends have been struggling, all I can say is don't give up there's gotta be better times ahead but only if you're there to see it.

Op.. Don't do what I did, blocking everyone in your life that cares (most people on here care). Everyone does care to some degree and most want to help. Mental health issues sucks big time.. And being alone during it only makes it worse.

Again inbox is open to those that need.

One thing I always say on these threads, probiotics can help, Google the impact gut health can have on brain health.

Also, vitamin D and magnesium can help.

Obviously these aren’t quick fixes, but they can support you.

Depression is the inability to construct a future.

Rollo May

My fave quote on the matter and has helped me through many a dark day week months...

Hang in there the cloud will soon pass ( I call mine clouds)

Tears,

for no explanation they fall,

As frequent as the leaves at fall,

But while the tears fall,

The good endorphins roar,

Fighting the fear all the more,

Not letting the fears through the door.

You will win this war.

Don't be so hard on yourself OP.

Some days you should do as much or as little as you want to.

It's your life and you're the captain!

Think we've all been there at sometime or point in our lives, mine was working security at hospitals last year at the height of this pandemic , saw way too many body bags pass by on duty . Got to the point I was finishing a 12 hour shift and hitting the JD . It also brought back experiences I thought I had delay with from the past . Wasn't till I broke down on shift one night and actually talked about everything to someone that life began to get better . We all need someone to listen sometime . No-ones alone , it's just sometimes difficult to reach out .

I find it really hard to put into words. I've gone back on Hrt after 6 years off, my so called mother abused mentally and my father as left me again for a cult. So it's brought everything back to the front again. I spend must of the days aware of my breathing also worrying about a panic attack. I'm getting lots of help and support but it's not an over night feel better thing that's for sure.

Been there with depression, had therapy still on medication, its a daily battle, but there will always be people that care, even tho its probably the case that your brain will tell you there isnt, its LYING to you…. Depression is a brain syndrome, think of it like bacteria, it needs you to have negative morose thoughts about yourself to live, the more you suffer the better it does, and it wants to survive, so it will make your confidence and self worth fall so it can flourish, the lower you feel the more it exists but acknowledging it is step one, then you can recognise the signs. You dont have to all of a sudden think you are the best person of all time, but tell yourself you are not as bad as your brain tells you that you are, distract yourself, focus on the little wins, (eg concentrate on drawing a little picture if you are good at art) hobbies help, lots of info on MIND website, got case studies where people talk about their experiences…. Helped me a bit, just a thought, ps we are all strangers and we clearly dont “Not Care”
