"Why is it in the Isle of Man? They were born there. I thought they were from Manchester ![]() Born on the Isle of Man during the 1940s, the Gibb brothers moved to their father, Hugh Gibb's hometown of Chorlton-cum-Hardy, Greater Manchester, England in 1955. In August 1958 the Gibb family, including older sister Lesley and infant brother Andy (born in March 1958), emigrated to Australia and settled in Redcliffe, Queensland, just north-east of Brisbane. From 1963 to 1966 the Gibb family lived at 171 Bunnerong Road, Maroubra, in Sydney.[18] Just prior to his death, Robin Gibb recorded the song "Sydney" about the brothers' experience of living in that city. It was released on his posthumous album 50 St. Catherine's Drive. The house was demolished in 2016. Frustrated by their lack of success, the Gibbs began their return journey to England on 4 January 1967, with Ossie Byrne travelling with them.

"We’ve got Alan Partridge ![]() ![]() ![]() There's the Derby Ram Trail in the City Centre at moment, dunno if I can post the link (just Google it), but there are about 30 of them scattered round the town, there's one that is covered in little mirrors. I wouldn't like to be the one that has to polish it when all the kids have been climbing all over it every day ![]() ![]()

"Why is it in the Isle of Man? They were born there. I thought they were from Manchester ![]() ![]() Indeed. Edited highlights, but thought it the best way to answer the question. Was trying to find out when they moved to the States as I'm sure one, if not all of them, at least lived out there for a while
