Apparently man's best friend is in fact a dog

My question is, why is man's best friend not a woman ?

My other question is how that statement makes you women feel ?

It's not fact.

It's referring to man as in "mankind" rather than gender.

Some men's best friend is a woman.

It doesn't make me feel anything.
