It was that time of the year for me today where i burnt a big hole in my account.

For the drivers out there, how much was your latest premium? Be interesting to see the range of prices.

Just been quoted 386quid which is a lot to be Fair. However as I've technically had a lease car for 12 years I'm classed as having zero no claims

Thats on a 1996 2.0 alfa gtv

I had a lease for few years and I’ve been able to claim my no claims with LV x

Not a car, but my last bike was like £700+ with an £1250 excess

My first bike was £1100 a year i think from memory. When i asked them why it was so expensive the reply i got was "the type of bike it is" so i asked "what type of bike is it" and they couldnt answer me lol

Mine i think was in the £300/400 bracket. They initial "offered" to renew it for £960 from the previous years £760. Im pretty sure they just hire people to smash buttons on a calculator to work out the price.

£90 a year for fully comp on a 1972 series 3 Landrover. £106 a year fully comp for my 1986 Landrover 110. Toyota Avensis was £300 fully comp and my two motorbikes were £300 and £400 respectively.

Just had my renewal quote for £405, gone up £10.

Will shop around as will be cheaper as doing less mileage due to working home.

Cashback sites are also helpful to get something back.

Hastings Direct are sharks.

I have a 1998 Ford Focus.

Despite, hardly driving it over the last 12 months, they wanted to auto renew, my premium, from £240, to £250.

I renewed via Go Compare and got it for £224.

When I called Hastings Direct to cancel the auto renew, the girl said I should have phoned, and they may have been able to better my auto renewal quote.

When I told her I had already accepted the better offer, she asked me how much, and who with.

I said £224, and yourself, Hastings Direct.

Sharks.

To be fair that's standard practice for most insurance providers - I always switch the auto-renewal off when I get a new policy - when the renewal notice comes through I use comparison sites to get an idea of what price I can get if I switch and then call the current provider to see if they can better their price, which invariably they can.

Paid £180 for an 11 year old Astra and should be able to get about £150 for a 13 year old Yaris later this month when it is due.

I agree. Wife doesnt drive the car but works out cheaper with her name on the policy.
