I scroll threads to look for those that appear if interest to me. Some I will open because certain posters tend to start what I consider interesting and inclusive threads. Some just have interesting titles. Some threads I don't open because some regular posters tend to post generic repetitive stuff etc.

Reading

I read titles then look at posts. Sometimes contribute. On some posts though , once thread gets to a slanging match between posters. Stop reading.

If a title sounds interesting I'll look at the first post - if it turns out to be smut I'll move on.

There are a few posters I will automatically respond to no matter what their thread is about.
