Well thinking about the beans thread

I can't for the life of me get away with putting my scrambled eggs on my toast.

It's no longer toast

I wonder if kitty would agree, seeing as she's so passionate about a soggy hash Brown

I sometimes like making toast. Butter it & fry up a runny egg but the edges kept crispy. Then I pour beans on top & squirt on some tomatoe sauce!

Why a house martin?

Does that mean you like scrambled egg beside toast?

Her ladyship cooks a fry up with the toast on the side which always seems pointless to me, the purpose of the toast is to provide a flat surface to load up ready for a fork. The first thing I do on the rear occasion we have a cooked breakfast and she's cooked it is figer the quickest and easiest way to side the toast under the most amount of breakfast I can.

Buttered toast with egg on top is awesome, but it has to be freshly eaten so the bread doesn't go soggy. I find the butter creates a hydrophobic layer which prevents initial water absorption into the bread, but it doesn't last as long as one would like.

If it's scrambled eggs then beside or a different plate

Beans on toast is a go from mission control

And I do enjoy a nice bowl of either chicken soup ( cream of ) or oxtail with toast dunked in it

I put the scrambled egg on the toast, and have a couple of slices of toast on the side as well, best of both worlds.

If I do buttered toast & egg

on top I like to drizzle Tonkatsu Sauce all over the egg. It enhances the taste!

You'll get your next bowl of porridge with banana slices served in two bowls on opposite sides of the bed - you can eat the porridge with your hands and use whatever limb happens to be dangling off my side to find the banana xx
