No not what you're thinking!!

When you see a message of yours to someone has been read how long should you wait until you follow up (you can see its not deleted)

Should you?

Don't want to come across as desperate

At least four moons, one of them in Taurus, then I’d consult the bones!

I wouldn’t. I’d presume they were not interested

messaging back will come across as desperate, I’d take the hint and leave them alone

I giggled a bit too much at that, my kind of humour

OP my advice is not to send chasing messages.

Or too busy at the moment. But if they’re keen and open to take it further then they’ll have replied within a week or two. After that forget and move on.

This place is a bit like the bar at Yo Sushi. You have to grab you chance - but if it passes by then wait and something similar will be along soon enough.

Wait until they reply to your first one.

Here's what site FAQ's say about a non-response :

Some ladies and couples get hundreds of messages a day so it simply isn't possible for them to reply to everyone. If you don't get a response, you should assume they aren't interested. If you're getting a lot of "no-replies" then you should consider your profile and the messages you send. Are they giving the right message? Are you standing out from the thousands of other guys on here?

Well op

I was chatting recently, exchanged numbers had a chat on the phone, talked about respect and trust etc etc

I had a read message and I'm my opinion no reply after 2 days was a scalable offense

I can't gain trust in someone who is ignorant

No longer interested just say

Anyone can bite the dust

Millions more women out there

Obviously not been to Yo Sushi for a while - you now order what you want and the belt delivers it right to your spot....doesn't sound like Fab at all any more

No reply usually equals not interested.

Just move onto the next lady!

No point with a follow up message, first one not read or answered then take it a good solid not interested....they are not busy or distracted, they just ain’t interested.

If it’s for a couple and it’s read, wait for few days and delete the convo afterwards as I take it not interested or indecisive. If it’s a single profile and read, again delete the convo next day. Never do follow ups as I always add something for people to reply to so no response, no follow up for me

I'd personally leave it and just make a private note on their profile.

If you do feel you have to send another message, wait a few weeks.

We can sometimes read a message and then mark it as unread until the other one of us gets a chance to read it.

So it can be a couple of days before we respond. Draw you’re own conclusions after that.

Does it change people's perceptions if I add that I had been chatting with this person quite a bit during the day and then noticed the read message and no reply???

I sometimes do this I read a message and then log off and sometimes I forget to reply, as I'm just on the forums. I guess it depends on how long it's been.

I have no issue if someone doesn't reply mid chat....maybe I bored them to sleep, maybe real life got in the way, who knows. I would probably send them a message the next time I logged on but if no reply then I would leave it.
