"I love busy street photography , done loads in Africa mostly Lagos, Douala, Kigali and Lusaka. Started to get into portrait and glamour / kink. Like the idea of landscape but always disappointed with results. I have courses booked for Lightroom in the Autumn and will get a Mac but so far just using basic filters and light on a phone. " You'll love lightroom, it's easy to use and get some great effects, but it'll suck all of your time lol

Then I followed something my late father told me, which is simply to have something in the foreground to give the image depth e.g. a tree branch coming in from one side when for example taking a shot of a field. It did make a difference.

"I love sweeping landscapes, beautiful vistas and trying to capture the myriad of amazing hues in a colourful sunset. Old churches and graveyards are another favourite of mine to. " Churches have an atmosphere, don't they - and it somehow shows in a (well-taken) picture

"Orchids are my favourite! I take them in colour & if they turn out fine then I convert to B & W. Robert Maplethorpe is famous for his male nudes - but I agree with him that his Orchid pics are amazing. Go check him out... Love taking abstract pics of buildings too! " I’d love to build a portfolio of male boudoir type photos, there’s so much that can be done that’s not the same old.

But thanks , I’ll try that next time Wildcamping

"Always enjoyed photography, wish it was something I’d taken more seriously when younger. Mrs G likes her picture taken and I certainly enjoy taking them " You have some amazing pictures on your profile - it helps when you work with a great model as well, doesn't it?

"I've found im slowly enjoying photography more and more and enjoy playing with effects to make pictures more quirky or give them a vintage feel" I spent a lot of time learning Photoshop in lock down to try and give my images an different look, worked out very well and made a bit of money for charity selling them

"Used to love getting out into Richmond Park with my old SLR to photograph the deer. Nowadays it's just stuff I take on my mobile (mostly of the kids) but have been playing around with macro settings to take more professional looking photos of models I've painted. " I used to have an ancient Canon AV1 then AE1 and I used to play with macros on the one and the zoom on the other hand. Nowadays, until I can make much more time I am going to rely on my iphone - you can still take lots of nice pictures with a decent mobile.

My P30 Pro takes better and sharper pictures than any of my previous cameras did for a fraction of the cost but still useless for longer distance stuff

"I do love taking pics. Candid photos of people…the ones that capture people just as they are. I also love architecture. Black and white favourite I do miss developing film though!!" Fabulous, would love to experience a female behind the camera in a sexy shoot. We love doing shoots and it's been great fun for all parties but it's always been a male tog x

"I take photos for my insta (vegan food) and of my cats, scenery / flowers / trees/animals when I'm walking.. Oh and my leg press weights when i do a pb at the gym I also photograph my pants daily (my profile is yesterdays) I use my phone. I take several shots, choose the best, dump the rest. Then I crop, level the horizon, correct colour/contrast/ highlights/shadows Sometimes I'll use a preset filter for a particular effect (usually colour saturation/desaturation) I use snapseed to add my name + a border for fab photos " We think alike although my pants don’t get photographed often

"I enjoy photography but don't take it seriously enough to want to take lessons. I just use the camera on my phone and can get some really good pictures. I like ruins, trees, flowers, ecclesiastical architecture, weather and old buildings but also love interesting shapes and patterns. I don't like people getting in the way " I also have a bit of a thing for water, bridges and sunsets...

"who loves it and what are your favourite pictures (not just talking erotic pics)? What do you enjoy taking pictures of? Do you desktop edit them? " All my photos are post processed but with minimal changes as it is the natural, un-enhanced (as seen) that sells. Lightroom, photoshop, are fantastic tools but in the end it is the person taking the the picture that makes the difference between, a good picture and a great picture. Computational photography is taking over the world especially in phone cameras but they are still machines. I will always encourage people who have a passion for photography its essence in it raw form. Enjoy

"I don't stick any particular genre of photography. Landscape, macro, street, if it's something that has caught my eye and I feel it's worth of going on my insta, I take it. Editing wise, I'm mostly using ON1 and Affinity Photo. Been trying to take another genre a bit more seriously of late and it's something I will be working on." Love your b/w photos in particular.

I loved the photography event at the Townhouse first time I went. This was before the first lockdown. Not sure if the second one took place last month. Would have been good to attend that as well but I was doing a photoshoot for someone off here, which was a great experience to say the least.

Yeah, it was a nice event, and staff/regulars were lovely to a nervous newbie. Hope to make it back one day. Well, if you have to miss one, that’s a fine reason for doing so .
