The best moment....

do you ever wonder about the best moment in your life?

It is here, right now and in this moment, I think.

I sometimes think after a nice family gathering or a nice meeting of minds (and even bodiesthat this would be my last memory if I left the planet at that moment in time.

So time to enjoy each moment as much as we can and not wait for better things to come - we could be there a long time waiting.

Lets enjoy here, today right now! I really mean that.

Maybe it is (and I do not mean this in a pessimistic way) about waking up NOT expecting the world to fall at your feet and thinking that you are going to take the day as it comes, knowing it will ring different things.

Being aware that we can be happy and grateful with small things, tokens of affection from other people and unexpected praise from somebody.

Shit really does happen and I do not want to minimise that some people are going through a bad time, especially right now.

There really is always somebody worse off - For myself. I am thinking about people who live in conflict zones, in violent relationships, in life-threatening poverty etc. I then feel really fortunate and grateful.

fleeting joys are good too not perfect but plenty good

So many times I've seen a bee or something that I was observing and I was so busy fucking about trying to find my phone and select the right setting, that it flew off before I took the picture. I'd have been better off just enjoying it.

I hardly take any photos now. It's just too easy. I liked it when you had to finish a roll of film, have it developed then see the results (some good, some bad).

I very much enjoy those moments when they happen though.

I do remember those days - I love photography and it was always exciting to see what the pics would be like. Mind you the arrival of digital does have countless advantages, doesn't it?

I think digital and phone cameras are much better for catching the moment with little faff. I don’t take many personal photos as yes I like to enjoy the moment, but I take of lot of random everyday snaps on my phone which often provoke other thoughts and ideas.

I love photography as well and prefer photography to other visual arts.

I suppose the advantages of digital can remove the fun of some of it. Sometimes being easier and more convenient doesn't always mean better.
