Why is the wink not embraced that much on here?

To send somebody a wink is a subtle way of saying I like what I see and read.

To then to reply with a wink back showing acknowledgement.

That way the original winker knows if they send a message they may get response.

Which would then slow down the amount of dick pics and awkward beginnings have a conversation.

And lets be completely honest this site is dominated by men. So I understand most of the ladies are sick to death of being bombarded maybe this will give them a bit more control.

It does seem a bit odd that the wink is still available on here judging by how many people block the wink or say don't wink me ..

They don't seem to mind much the fabbing of the pics though .. just saying

The way I see them is

If you can’t pluck up and send me a message then

Means we not that compatible

As if you find it intimidating to send me a message then how are they going to pluck up when it comes to a meet

Because its easy think about it if a girl gets say 100 messages per day the winks will be triple that i would guess

Most of the winks I've had are from profiles that don't tick any of my boxes and strangely I don't fit anything they are seeking either. They are only looking for bi men but I'm not bi. They only meet locals but I'm not in the same country. They don't meet anyone over 40 etc etc.

And then the winks which are just a nudge to say Hello there I've just blocked you.

Lots of ways to use winks.

Inbox full of messages full of dick pics and cheesy one-liners

A wink look at profile if they want wink back if they like or just ignore it.

But i have seen people putting their bio wink and I'll block you.

That's well put. Some people are far too busy busy busy to look at winks though, others think it's lazy (not us).

I like the wink function and believe it is under used on here, or looked at as pointless.

Its a great ice breaker and gentle 'let down', no reply wink not interested without the whole message and un comfy do i reply or not lol...

And then all we will see is countless posts about how unfair it is that people don't reply to winks, and that there should be a no thanks wink button!

The system isn’t perfect, but its the best one we have.

Just pluck up the courage to message someone accepting it will likely result in being unread, deleted, ignored.

100% there is no 100% fix to please everybody.

Personally I send a wink or message. The more successful conversations have always let people message me first.

But now i just come on the forum and chat as I get more interaction.

I look at all of my winks and often use it to give a subtle nod to someone. If they don't send one back there is no point in me messaging.

I don’t even look to see who has winked at me. It never crosses my mind.

I also don’t check to see if my pics have been fabbed either. Again it never crosses my mind. If someone wants my attention then the only way they’ll get it is to message me. If (as I ask) they include a pic they’ll get a reply.

Works both ways though ...some people are too busy to send countless messages that don't get looked at,easier to send a wink

Iv been winked at by a few woman and we have then chatted with different outcomes ...

However, I don't think for one minute it will stop woman being bombarded with dick pics or one liners.
