There’s no way to hide their forum posts sadly, lots of threads wouldn’t make any sense if you think about it if you block lots of people and half the replies are missing.

No. If someone is blocked you can still see their comments in the forum but they should not use the forums to get around the block and try to ask why they were blocked etc.

If they were hidden I guess it would make following conversations difficult.

They won't be able. To message you privately from a forum post though.

All it does is stop them messaging, seeing your profile and not appearing in searches/local updates.

No. That's pretty creepy and the 3rd parties should report it.

I never understand people's obsession with getting blocked.

You still see them on the forum but in the chat rooms they are hidden and can't see you either.

I didn't report, but I did tell them no along with challenging their motives and story. Then I was blocked haha!

Is it an adult site ?? People should grow up sometime. Blocking like in a school yard? It Create more issues than resolve it. Just ignore them, show you are more intelligent and mature…

Well, firstly I rarely block, if I do it is with good reason.

Secondly, I dont need to show anyone anything.

Thirdly my blocking someone is not nor will ever be based on a minor spat or disagreement.

Forthly I dont think it's childish to ask such a question.

Now, I'm sure there are plenty of other places where your jumping to conclusions would be better suited, this isn't one of them.

And on that note I bid you a good day.

Hmmm i think you click on them and block.. I've only done it twice - the mods in chat will guide you... And yes, it removes whole blocks of convo.. Some people don't realise there are more than 20 peeps in the room

Nope - you’ll still see their posts! But I guess can’t be a bad thing.

I’ve unblocked people because I’ve seen their messages on forums & not realised I’ve blocked them

There and to the left a bit

"Block me and try it

Nope can't see a block option, i just go to your profile "

When you get there go to the three stripes at top right and click them - drop down appears with "Block User" on it

Think you can then unblock them from there too - or if not go to Account at the top and your Block List is there somewhere and you can unblock from there

Can I divert slightly or should I really start a new thread as I have suddenly had a thought jump up and bite me on the right cheek

Couldve been the left but felt more to the right

Stuck in the middle with you

If a person has you blocked and there's a discussion on the forums are you totally ok to participate in said discussion and quote a reply to the post or is that a punishable act ?

I think the rule is if you use the forums to try and bypass a block then it's a no-no - if you're making a general comment in line with the thread then it's ok

Well I can read this in a few ways.

Do you mean a generic discussion of which they are in or a discussion about you?

If generic then id say its of course to participate as long as your not doing it to gas light.

Eg what are you having for dinner tonight...reply egg and chips.

Need more info re quoting a reply. But again if its likely to deemed manipulative or gas lightning why would you? If the qoute is from else where then wouldn't that quote be taken out of context.

I only qoute and reply if its directed at the person as opposed to generic.

But if you think that person could feel uncomfortable then I wouldnt.

I suspect if there is a background to the blocking, which could be the case if you actually remember whom has blocked you. Then no I wouldnt qoute. To qoute is to spotlight and specify that your response is directed at them
