Off to ilfracombe in August look for nice nude beach any one been saunton sands what it like ? Any info would be appreciated

We were there last week but didn’t see anybody nude sunbathing. The beach is huge so I guess you could but at the car park end it is rather orientated to families and surfing. If your prepared to walk it’s miles long and stretches round to Braunton on the estuary.

Wasn’t aware Saunton Sands was a naturist beach, but there are a lot of dunes there so might be able to get away with it!

I’m not necessarily saying this about you, but just generally, some people confuse naturist beaches with sex beaches .. two very different things!

Ok thanks guys just what it said on Internet when I googled naturist beachs round that area will have to have a deeper look ??

Saunton Sands is NOT a naturist beach though I know that occasionally people do to that. Please don’t lean on the fence I built around the car park, it wasn’t very stable when I put it up 25 years ago as a volunteer for Heritage Coast Trust.

Braunton Burrows would be better for that as it’s much quieter
