Nothing.

Been there, done that.

No need to do it now.

On the other hand, neither of us are habitual lavish spenders. Might go out twice a year to a nice restaurant, at most (in non-covid times).

Haven't had a takeaway since March last year. Haven't missed it.

Seems bugger all to spend money on if we're not leaving the house anyway. So nothing to scrimp on !

"The heating "

Even with heating, I tend to save my clothes until the weather gets really cold, then do my ironing so my flat gets toasty warm...

No kids nor pets so I pretty much look for a bargain in everything. That said, I do drive a nice car (MX5) and all my sheets are 100% cotton.

I just shop around for bargains... I lurve shopping me...

I do spend a small fortune at the nail bar on acrylic and gel nails...

Campag? Never owned any. (Do white racing caps count?)

I've had from my humble start

Sachs-huret (Peugot and a few others)

Sturmey Archer (Chipper and Chopper)

Suntour (Raleigh and Dawes) no indexed down shifters

The others have been Shimano (Sora/Tiagra/105/Ultegra)

With washing lines and without.

I love my STI's (that'll go down well here)

SRAM has never been used by me either: can't figure out their wierd shallow/deep tap thing.

Actually you're doing just fine, everytime a car is built, the manufacturing process is the hardest on the enviroment, once it is up and running it is still bad for the enviroment (think of what gets replaced when you service and refuel it.) so extend the car's life as long as feasibly possible and limit your damage to the planet
