Do you believe that such a thing as true love exists or is just a mere fantasy that only exists in the movies or romance novels?

I for one don't believe in it. Love itself is indeed real which I don't doubt at all but, true love? I don't think so.

I used to believe in true love but after many heartbreaks over the past 20 years, I then came to a conclusion that it doesn't exist.

I think we can find lots of people we can be super compatible with and hence fall in love. I don’t believe there’s a person that completes you and he’s like the only one for you.

It’s a construct that movie and Disney force fed us. I mean it is romantic as a concept, but its just not reality (for me)

I think true love exists, rarely

.. I also think it's often very one sided... I will never feel it again, as I don't think I have the capacity for it anymore... I still love and understand my capacity for emotional attachment but also get that everything is temporary so just make the most of what I have with certain people, while I have it,instead of putting pressure on something that doesn't need it.

That’s exactly that. It’s not about busting each other’s chops. I’m not my hubby’s keeper he isn’t mine. We are in it together

Surely all love is true. The love I have for my children, family, friends.....it's all heartfelt wonderful love. Although my romantic relationships have all ended the love I felt at the time was genuine and I know for sure they loved me.

Jools and I have been together for 35 year's and I can honestly say I love her as much if not more now than ever.

Yes we swing but that's nothing to do with love you it's just seasoning on a great sex life.

We would survive without it .

Being apart is like losing a part of myself.

She my wife,my best friend,my lover and the person who I trust more than anyone alive.

Yes we infuriate each other at times can't speak but that's the point it's about forgiving small unimportant shit.

Nope, relationships are like jobs and houses … the one you have is generally ok for the here and now … but most people are always looking for another better one

We all change due to life experiences, the person I was when I married was not the person I became 10 years later and not the person I am now another sunny 10 years on

I always have love for my family and friends. As for my past relationships, I'm sure my partners loved but in the end, they all broke my heart and dumped me because they either got sick of me, cheated on me or couldn't change me.

I certainly learned a few things. Long distance relationships don't work and never date your best friend.

As much as it would be nice to be in a relationship, my heart has so many scars which is why I've remained single as it's just not worth having it broken again.

I've realised that my past relationships may have been formed and destroyed by the fear of being alone.

Over the past 5 years, I've learned to accept being on my own and that old fear is now replaced with the fear of having my heartbroken if the idea of a potential relationship came about.

If there is a thing as "true love", perhaps I'm never meant for it.

I completely 100% believe in true love. I have a daughter and I've never experienced a love like that; so strong and unbreakable. Also, romantically, I definitely am very much in love with my partner even if we have rough patches every now and then. It's because of those two people that I do believe in true love. And even if they were stripped away from me, or if my partner broke my heart, there would be a part of me that would always know true love exists because I was lucky enough to have it.
