In hillbilly cannibals film ,or most cannibal films,

The cannibals are always chopping carrots to add to a boiling pan of diced people.

Do carrots say"suitable for human consumption" in the grocers.

Do cannibals have poor eyesight?

Wouldn't cannibals be better having carrots with rabbit.?

..any reason for this carrots obsession...chop chop

Depends upon the film, in 'Conan' the stew/soup is a suspicious green colour.

Surely it should be carrots, celery and onions?

It’s the best base to almost all stews, soups and pot roasts.

Well as a chef, the base to most sauces is onions carrots and celery....

Maybe they're going for a nice tomato based sauce and want to enhance the flavour
