best start saving up for when your little one sits her exams, with the rate of inflation you are looking at £100's

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

A new DS seems to be the currency around here.

We didn't anything in my day - except the grades.

I got nothing for my grades other than the satisfaction of knowing that I did well (or not so well in some subjects)

I think the entire concept of dishing out the coin because the brat has got an A is so American that it makes me sick.

Even the local radio is visiting schools and interviewing the little darlings about their grades.

We got our results, shrugged out shoulders and got on with it, non of this luvvy duvvy hugging and backslapping shite.

Well no, I never went down 'tmine, but I did finish school on Friday and start my apprenticeship as a television engineer on the following Monday.

In hindsight though, I wish I had gone down 'tmine because most of my mates who did, were earning 4 times as much as I was earning at the time

My parents had high expectations for me and my siblings to do well academically, no such thing as cash for grades in my youth.

I'm pleased to say mine failed miserably in today's results, saves me some cash.
