Burying your head….

Does anyone else bury their head in the sand. I’m so awful at doing this. I did this once for three years with a health issue which could of had dire consequences but I found it easier than dealing with it.

I’m doing it so much lately I feel like I’m going to combust and using fab to distract me from these issues. Don’t tell me I’m the only one.

Naw., gone past all that, if something dont feel right get it sorted/ dealt with , whatever it is because tbh you and you alone are responsible for your own happiness and well being...and plus there's a few things that are way better and nicer to bury your head in than the sand

I have to be in the right frame of mind to deal with important issues. It when it gets to the point it can't be ignored anymore

God it’s literally sending me insane because it’s generally not just one thing at a time is loads of things and I know I would feel better if I just sorted it but I don’t want to think about it so head back in the sand

The modern world is one big distraction - it's why Governments love the Internet so much. A powerful tool to keep the people dumbed down, and avoid their own issues as much as the wider ones the world faces.

A very common issue OP, it's easier to procrastinate than it is to work on ourselves. If you're a social media user, I highly recommend removing it from your phone as a good starting point to self improvement.

I’ve been doing exactly this on a divorce for five years.

Court hearing this afternoon though so I have really been focused for the last few weeks.

I agree with you and fab lately has literally kept me from thinking of anything else, well distracting me from the things I need to face. Giving it up so I can face the things I need to is difficult because I don’t want to face them

Chippenham Malmesbury area

I like to deal with most things head on although, when it comes to injuries such as knee and back pain (or any other cycling and running related issues), I tend to manage them my way; the doctor is often the last resort.

Yup, it's difficult isn't it. We're all sl@ves to technology and we all have a certain amount of time & headspace taken away from us as a result these days I find.

The world goes waaaay too fast for our little brains to manage so we hide amongst it all in the vain hope that the things that really matter will improve. You're certainly not on your own in feeling this way x

Yeah, I ignore things until they turn into something I can't ignore. A terrible habit.

I used to but learned having difficult conversations is one of the biggest factors in progressing and it becomes quite addictive, I go looking for them now…. Including with myself
