I am more than happy to wait a while before going abroad again. It will make it all the more special when properly allowed again x

Got a few things booked for this year and next, and more in the planning.

Just had my covid test in anticipation of an imminent departure

We've got a holiday booked for October. It's actually one that's been rolled forward several times since May 2020. If it's possible we are going, we're both tired of the restrictions we need to live under.

Yes, I am hoping to get away in the autumn and hopefully in late Dec/early Jan.

The latest travel announcements are quite promising

Recently returned from 3 weeks in Mexico. Have booked a long 5 week trip in the sun for December/January. Must say our last entry into Heathrow was smoothest of the year. Because all your entry requirement docs are checked at the departure airport when checking in, they’ve done away with having to queue and have them check upon arrival. Now you can just use the e gates again, very quick and smooth

"Next year... Refusing to buy plastic covid tests that cost more than the actual flight! "

£80 each our last trip cost in regards to pre paid testing when home. Hardly the end of the world. Takes 60 seconds to do it on day 2 of being home and pop it in the letterbox. Small price to pay to be able to holiday abroad again no ?

Still a lot a faff... But then again I used to treat planes like buses longing for those days to return.

This year we still have a holiday booked to Egypt, it's on the red list, always has been, so waiting for it to be cancelled.

Next April we also have a holiday booked, again to Egypt, I'm not even sure if I should be hopeful about that one or not. It'll be what it'll be
