"I have 2 cars that will not run on the new e10, to be fair I'll be unlikely to run my 3rd car on it either... Seems to have almost been snuck through, with barely any mention till the last minute.. and it will affect motorcycles more. Yes if you have a car that wont run on it you can still put super but seems to me a way to make people get a newer vehicle " The E10 fuel will affect the rubber pipes in the fuel system. depending on what car you have it may just be as simple as changing all the fuel lines to a more modern spec rubber. The engines them selves will normally take the fuel. What cars are they? I'm building a 1966 mk1 cortina trackday car and will use super fuel anyway.but its the rubbers that will perish.

"First by a cheap £200-300 pound banger that dose not support it throw it in see the results if not happy take to a fule map company see what they say E85 can run in all engine and and any power just have to re map the fule to air It’s amazing what a car will run on couple off YouTube channels do this sort off thing Car will run on turpentine yes there’s more carbon buildup but handy if your stuck no gas place but a general hardware store " That is assuming it has electronic fuel injection and a ecu to control the mapping. A lot of older cars are carburettor only so no mapping and the aroused components may not be capable of handling E10.

Carbs can be map with bigger and smaller jets to suit the air to fule ratio may need to get a aftermarket carb though that supports jet swapping

"Oh nice.. I regret selling my Sud so much 64 Beetle and 54 R type should be OK. Xjs, mk1 Golf and Audi Quattro I'm worried about! " Actually, I would expect your XJS, Golf and Audi will probably be OK as they were all sold in America when they were bringing in E10 over there, and so it's highly likely that Jaguar and VW/Audi will have made the necesary changes across their entire product line up - though certainly worth looking into.

" No mate appendix K is for serious racing such as hscc and the like they still run points and condenser and cross ply tyres.... im Just going to be hillclimbing and a bit of sprinting. But nonetheless I am running twin weber dcoe45s and an aldon electronic distributer.....the fueling and sparks will be set up on a rolling road.
