So no where else has then? I’d imagine Scotland has less than most countries due to their climate

Lincolnshire

So soft is meant to be the best for deterring but in Scotland all bets are off…those midgies are relentless!

Have some Garlic every now and again. That trick seems to help me when hiking and camping if you don't fancy any insect repellent

Under the Duvet

I discovered last year that if you rub sanitizer into your legs/arms it seems to deter them.

Prior to that I got bitten to buggery.

Worth a try.

It's the alcohol, they just get pissed and forget to bite you

Missin’ Yo’ Kissin’

Eucalyptus - Very effective at deterring insects. Crush the leaves and scatter around the seating area. They keep away from my tree!

Garden centres sell repellant herb sticks you light.

Marmite - eating - not sure about that? Have heard people saying it repelled ....

Lavender essential oil? Check 1st whether can be applied to skin - health shop?

Cider vinegar & honey (drink), is supposed to be effective but not tried it?

North West

Similar but different, just bought some Jungle Formula to avoid the Mediterranean mozzies. I got bitten by a tiger mosquito last time (on my bad leg, obviously) and the bite mark/lump was ENORMOUS. And itchy as fuck

I'd put midges, horse flies, mosquitoes and other biting insects in Room 101 - they all savage me mercilessly

Weird flex.

Have a look on YouTube at the state of them up the west coast. They literally cost the scottish economy millions.

Where are ya?

Jungle formula if you're in Scotland. Its disgusting deet but works. Plus all the cover up net gear.

North England I'd say skin so soft plus 5 incense sticks stuck in a hat and sit next to the person who has the worst diet.

South England garlic and gin.
