I think they can for some men - women get a better feel for your personality and might consider meeting you. Also, if you use the forums you can attend forum socials. It's a bit easier.

Having typed that, there's a whole world outside the forums, socials, club nights, people who meet up and actually have sex...

You can put yourself out there and be known without ever venturing into the forums which can sometimes be a bit of an in**stuous cesspit.

Right now, I should be trying to pay my electricity bill and sorting out my Dartford crossing discount. Instead I am glued to Fab forum.

I think the forums can be a good way to get your personality across and get to know people, it is worth remembering that only a small percentage of site users actually come onto the forums though.

Answer for the OP: yes and no. Unfortunately, there is no "magic formula" that would work for everyone. But by interacting on forums you show others you might be interested in actually being a part of this community rather than just looking for new wank material.

If you use forums, you can find posts about club events and organised socials in your area that you might be interested in. Also, sometimes, you may find info about some private parties happening.

You may also increase the number of views on your profile- and you never know, one of those views might turn into something more.

Also worth keeping in mind that someone responding to a forum post isn't an automatic invite to message, reading profiles & considering if you are what they are looking for etc all still applies.

Yes. I met my fiancé through the forums.

I’ve found that on the forums people can get a better feel for your personality and over time people get to know each other.

They’re not representative of the whole site but the forums are a comfortable place to while away time and discuss or quip on a variety of subjects

I think it's a more fun way of using Fab. Simply looking at profiles and trying to interact with a person based just off that feels very cold and Tinder-like which I don't enjoy. The forums make it easier to get to know a person's personality and it feels a lot more natural, to me anyway.
