"Hi all. I'm looking for some inspiration. I'm going through one of those phases again when I lose my appetite and I'm trying to think of some ideas to have for lunch. Nothing too complicated as I don't really want to spend time cooking food only to waste it by not eating it and when not feeling hungry its too easy to just skip a meal if not motivated to prepare the food. So I'm looking for things quite simple that I can pick at if needed. So far I've thought of ryvita with things like garlic and herb philadelphia or peanut butter and banana but I'm looking for some more ideas as eating the same thing too much will just lead to me getting bored and not wanting to eat again ![]() Is this to do with getting calories and micronutrients you need? Or simply just to find food you enjoy… That might be super tedious a question, but fruit salad and yogurt is a go to for me with micronutrients Any kind of nut butter is a calorie dense option for me

When I go through these phases of losing a lot of interest in food, it can't be good for me. Sometimes finding foods that interest me can help motivate me to eat.

The oil is the sauce. Olive Oil in a pan, add finely chopped garlic while the oils cold, then put the heat on, as starts to cook add the chilli and basil leaves or coriander leaves (chopped). Then add your pre boiled spaghetti into the mix, stir it all around. You don't need loads of oil, just enough to make it all stick to the spaghetti. ![]()

"How about a turkish salad and hummus that you can keep in the fridge... And have falafel (or similar) in the freezer ready to cook if it takes your fancy? I also like homemade pea, mint +lemon soup... Or tomato +lentil soup (way better than it sounds).. I keep bake at home bread that i can bang in the oven. Can all be frozen if you can't tantalise your taste spuds " I got really into soup last summer but then suddenly went off it and I still have the leftover tins from when it happened ![]()

In general when trying to drop weight or build up I have set meal times and either starve between meals or force myself to eat at them set times.. If you don’t eat much then the fruit might be an easy choice, and high calorie foods like cheese, nuts etc as they are low volume but higher calories, they should see you over when you don’t fancy substantial meal. ![]()
