Very fine.. you can be confident while being nice.

Ego is when you are not being nice.

Be nice

Not very fine at all. Confidence is a quiet assurance, ego is how you see yourself.

Do you mean confidence vs arrogance?

Sure, we’ll go with arrogance

Confidence is quiet assurance, arrogance is loud, aggressive, demonstrative and a belief that they’re the best.

They can be typified thus;

“I can do this”

“I can do this better than anyone and I’m going to tell you”

Arrogance and confidence are two different things.

Lots of people who suffer from low self esteem perceive confidence to be arrogance.

Lots of arrogant people mistake arrogance for confidence.

hiding from cock pics.

In my opinion a confident person will be more self aware in most cases than an arrogant person.

A confident person may understand their own actions and choices and take responsibility for themselves, where as an arrogant person might be somewhat lead by their ego.

Or maybe I'm just waffling, but it seems a bit like that to me!

I have uber confidence which can spill out as arrogance depending on my mood, I have mellowed over a few years, but in a life and death situation when I know best, hot damm you will know about it

La la land

To me confidence is knowing you're really good at something without needing the reassurance from anyone that you are.

Arrogance to me is when you kinda know you're quite good not the best but good, so you lack that confidence in yourself. So you feel the need to tell others you are good.

"Between confidence and ego?"

I think you’ve confused what ego means.

Ego doesn’t mean that at all.

I frequently see belief in and acknowledgment of ones own abilities described as arrogance but we live in a society where self depreciation and not achieving anything meaningful is celebrated

I would never have said you were arrogant at all! Not even slightly!

I wasn’t asking for a thesaurus lol I meant in terms of peoples opinions and how easy it is to be misconstrued, I would say I’m confident, I wouldn’t say I’m arrogant or I have an inflated ego, guess it’s individual perception but I see posts that some would say is confidence and some would say is arrogant/egotistical, interesting to see if people think the same or see the two as hugely different and how far confidence can go before it becomes arrogance

Agreed. I do think there is a fine line between the two though

When you think you know best...

;-)

This is the real danger of arrogance, so sure of yourself that you refuse to see that others may actually have a better solution, or be more capable of the task.

Confidence in oneself is attractive I find! Ego/arrogance not so! That said I think mostly confident people are happy in their own self whereas ego/ arrogant people that blow their own trumpets seek aprovel/reassurance form others is not attractive! Comes across as needy! That said the latter imo are maybe the opposite of how they come across as in lacking self love if that makes sense x

The way I've always looked at it is.. confident people know who they are and arrogant people need to convince people who they are.
