Settle an argument for me over the three squares a day.

I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner whilst the other half has breakfast, dinner and tea.

Who is in the right here and which one of us should be kicked out of the country for our total and complete wrongness ?

..... Waits for the fireworks

It's Breakfast Lunch and Dinner.

If you refer to your evening meal as Tea it is so wrong. Tea is the meal between midday and evening and is just a spread of Afternoon tea.

I have breakfast in the morning, lunch on my lunch break and dinner when I get home from work in the evening.

On a mooch

It depends on where the main meal is for me

If it’s in the middle of the day then it’s breakfast, lunch and tea. If the main meal is at night then it’s breakfast, lunch and dinner

Secret hideaway in the pennines

Breakfast, unless I am late up then it would be brunch, lunch and dinner in the evening if I'm still peckish, it would have supper.

This obviously doesn't include elevensis, or afternoon tea or the midnight fridge raid

Breakfast dinner and tea for me.

I think a lot depends on what area of the county you come from.

Tea for the evening meal. Used to call middle of the day dinner (as in dinner ladies in school) when I was younger. Lunch now though!

Using the same kind of logic why are the staff in schools serving the mid day meals called "dinner" ladies?
