Go eurkkk...

Back in the day when we had 3 channels and quality advertising like... Martini... There was no so much truly awful programming... Now 999 channels of stuff to pore over.

What shows make you reach for the remote as soon as they come on?

It's more a thing of what shows make me even want to switch it on?

Plenty of other stuff I can doing other than having shit low-effort programming demanding my attention. Like reading a book or playing an instrument.

I cant stand most of what is on telly. Anything done in the name of entertainment such as saturday night crap. All the shitty reality stuff and anything soapy. I can zone out to endless midsommer murders as that is about the only thing left to watch on my pathetic selection of channels. I do like history type stuff though. Lucy Worsely is fun

Aye. You can imagine the cunts in the Channel 4 creative department wanking their top-knots off when they came up with that “edgy” idea

Paradise, Herts

I can’t be doing with normal telly anymore. I detest any kind of reality TV show and I hate soaps. I only watch Netflix and prime. Normal telly has only been on because of the footie.

I channel hopped onto it... I couldn't believe what I was seeing..

It reminded me of Roger mellie the man on the telly from viz... When he used to take whacky show ideas to producer Tom... One was "celebrity shit bucket"... That was 30 years ago... Before his time was Roger.

I don't switch any of it off because I don't watch live TV or just stick it on for the sake of it.

All streaming for me whether it's one of the 5 'standard' channels, Netflix, Starzplay or NowTV.

What? The idea that the first thing you usually see of someone is them naked, or in a state of undress? Then somewhere along the line their face? Then you might hear their voice? And finally you meet them somewhere socially and see them fully clothed for the first time?

Sounds a very familiar format

There and to the left a bit

To be honest OP there was a lot of dross back in the day too and because there were only three channels it was harder to avoid.

Whilst there is plenty I find cringeworthy these days and consider dross - at least the multitude of channels and streaming services etc means I can find something I *do* want to watch easily enough
