Haven't done a DNA test, but mine is likely to be some Jewish (Ashkenazi), some British, possibly a touch of Irish and beyond that, not sure. I know my heritage on both sides can be traced back to the 1770s with the aforementioned combinations of ethnic group.

Yeah had it done.

DNA from all over the world, some of which I knew about. Mostly European with a bit of medeteranian thrown in. Turns out there was a bit of African, Asian and native American in there as well. Bit of a shock as I only knew about the European bit.

Lets just say it raises questions I might not want the answers to.

Well my original results came back like 67% Irish, 3% Swedish and 30% english (I’m from England).

Then they redid everything and everyone got updated results and soooooo many people suddenly got Scottish in the heritage and the Irish percentage decreased

I'd love to do one.

I think there may be some Chinese on my Jamaican dad's side and no idea on my mum's South East London side. They never mentioned the usual Welsh/Irish suspects but I'm guessing they'll be in there somewhere.

I think it would be really interesting.

I've done this. I have 61% England and Northwestern Europe, 33% Scotland, 4% Germanic Europe, 2% Wales. Nothing overly exciting, my ancesters weren't an adventurous lot.

England & NW Europe : 36%

Ireland : 14%

Norway : 2%

I have about 3 other DNA profiles on other sites, and they broadly agree (some variations however)
