"hey you mention photography. can you recommend a fairly reasonable dslr camera?" I most certainly can, firstly, what kind of photos are you looking at doing? and what is your price range? You can get a Nikon d3000 for around £250 pound on eBay, this is an entry level for starting out but who want to use the more professional type setup. This camera is very capable of taking photos in bad light conditions, iso ranges from 100 to 3200, iso is just the light sensor, you can do nice depth of field shots, long exposure shots, you can get the f/stop value down to 4.5 on the stock lens, it has a view finder, but isnt rational like the upgraded version the d5000 which is what I am using. Nikons have built in in VR on the lenses and auto focus, so the nikon lenses can cost a little bit more than lenses for a canon sony etc as they have the auto focus on the body. You can have remote functions, self timer etc on the d3000, but that d3000 isn't capable of EV shots, which is used for HDR,basically the camera will take 3 ,5,or 7 shots all in different exposures so you can merge them together and edit the photo to make an amazing surel photo that is incredible to the eye, for all camera you can get filters to go on the end of lens, so for portraits you can get soft filters, which blends the skin nicely, ND filters for your crisp outdoor shots, polarise filters to reduce lens glare, I could go on forever | |||
