Does it bother you if your neighbour doesn't take the bins back in what you consider to be a timely fashion?

What if said bin has been left outside your house...do you pop it back to where it belongs?

How long is it acceptable to leave the bins outside after refuse collection?

Do you leave your bin out side to wind your neighbour up?

Is this a thing? I don't put mine back straight away. In fact I walk right past them several times. Never been moaned at for it.

I've been at for my grass not being cut though. It wasn't even that long!

If it's not back in exactly 1 minute and 27 seconds after it's been emptied I set fire to it.

If it's left in my space I hold it for ransom.

If I’m at home I take the bins straight back in after being empty. Or as soon as I’m home from work.

It could be a thing, I’ve heard it mentioned.

I was curious because mine is still outside and it was emptied yesterday!

I'll go and get it in mo

Do people really complain about these things?

I often put my neighbours bins and recycling bags back in their gardens and vice versa. Saves the bags blowing away and the bins clogging up the pavement as it's not very wide. Never had anyone complain if they've been left out for the day though.

‘Bin Wars’ would be a great reality TV show - secret cctv of what neighbours get up to with each other’s bins in the

middle of the night ! I’d get on the phone of Ch5 and sell them the rights asap

I like to do this too. But also on streets I don't live on.

I bring mine in fairly promptly, but that’s because we have recycling bags and they have a tendency to fly away at the mere hint of a breeze

When we lived in Wiltshire the day we moved in a new neighbour gave us a calendar showing the dates we were expected to cut other peoples lawns on a Sunday.

Was great fun planting gorse, lavenders, rosemary plants and surrounding them with white gravel, Never did cut the others grass

There and to the left a bit

The road I live in we have to leave them at the end of the access road into it - I usually collect mine and the immediate neighbours one at some point on the day they are emptied.

Doesn't bother me in the slightest if others leave theirs out longer.

This thread was born out of guilt (I'm catholic) of leaving it out until now...when it was emptied yesterday!

I understand lots of Catholics favour the withdrawal method.

I don’t wanna talk about bin day incidents.

I’ve been indirectly involved in one.

It was pathetic and has got me into trouble.

People should be more tolerant about the small stuff.

End.
