The 97 Radiohead Glastonbury gig the monitors weren't working and Thom nearly walked off.

He was also burnt out from the OK Computer tour. Watching it back it sounds good to me but I love them so I am biased. .

This burn out did lead to him writing How to Disappear Completely on Kid A.

The "I'm not here, this isn't happening" lyric was a coping mechanism/mantra Michael Stipe from REM gave him apparently.
