I have to go to the north west for my job next week. I’m just wondering is it as bad as the media is making out with regards to this delta variant?

The folks of the North West read the same media as you.

There's no dead or dying in the street though if that's what you mean.

People are eating out , drinking out, taking buses and going to work.

On the up everywhere it seems

Good to see other peoples views though. The North West has 18 of the top 20 towns for infections.

When we are seemingly relaxed in our normal mask on/mask off, despite rising cases, when the rest of the country is tailing off in risk.

Without being political, I can only point to the idiocy of Burhman for wanting everything open and now double downing in reparations when leaders advise against travel through the North West.

Manchester (she/her)

The cases are bad - search on the Coronavirus government website by postcode for an idea.

To the extent my experience is normal - life looks pretty normal here except mask wearing?

west mids

Did a few locum shifts last week in MRI hosp.

There were a few cases, but none of them was serious or on ventilation. And none of the affected by the delta were given any vaccination before.

You'd be alright if keep wearing mask all the time even if you are vaccinated.

Regards

Sol

If I'd have written 'the idiocy of Burnham', then gone to mention Grt Manchester as having the highest rates in the country, it would have sounded like a political point.

Whereas stating it before it gives reason to every other county managing the crisis equally, yet Greater Manchester not doing so. I wasn't being political, I am pointing a finger.
