I'm 37 and I never have, and I don't plan on doing so.

I don't consider it sad, and even if it is, eh fuck it. It is my way of doing things and I'm not going to change it for such a piss poor prefer pressure reason.

Doesn't make you sad. I had a few in my early 20's and ill be honest had them cause I had no self worth, did I enjoy them, I enjoyed the intimacy, usually got the guy off quick enough.

I've since learned from joining here that sex is supposed to be enjoyed, I prefer sex with someone I'm attracted to and get to know what makes them tick, what turns them on, what makes them weak at the knees.

Than again if Tom Hardy or Daniel Craig offered me a hot one night stand I wouldn't say no.

Ive never cum or orgasmed with a guy or on my own it doesn't make me sad

Not sad at all. Lots of people haven't. I've has a few over the years - in fact way more so than actual serious relationships so you could argue that's sad! One nighters are pot luck, some were amazing and others weren't that good. It's horses for courses as they say. I guess in the current climate and how meeting people has changed they will probably be much less common now.

When I was younger yes I had one night stands. I reached a point where there has to be an intellectual connection, chemistry and physical attraction. Not to say that I won't find that for a one night stand it's just less likely.

As I am in a new city for the next few days, meeting new friends this view may go on temporary pause

Ultimately for me one night stands depends on how I want to respect myself at any given time. It's my body.

I've never had a ONS either. I'm only 27 so I guess there is still plenty of time but it's not something that hugely appeals to me. I do like the idea of it as a fantasy, but in reality I much prefer something more meaningful.

I got through a few in my 20s and they were fun, but I wouldn’t say you’ve missed out as such; if you didn’t have any, there’s probably a good reason why….they’re not everyone’s thing, maybe subconsciously you never put yourself in the right place for it?

In my youth a few times. Thats kind of how it was, go out down town, have a good night with you mates and meet women. Next week the same. Plus in my job at the time I would travel a lot and end up drinking and flirting in different parts of the country/world. It was fun flirting with women from different places. Plus I think when you only visiting a place this helps for a one night stand for both parties. Because its a limited opportunity (now or never), there's something fun about someone from somewhere else and you both know you'll be out of each others lives in the next couple of days nice and clean (especially if they have complications where they would want people around them to know about it). Then in my early 20s I got married to my ex wife and that was then end of it.

Best thing ever. Going out with the lads, having drinks, meeting a girl, more drinks and a laugh and then back somewhere together for sex all night. Hands down best times/nights of my life have been one night stands, even better when on a hot and sunny lads holiday!!

We were discussing this after reading this thread

We used have a lot of ons before we knew each other. We'd spend an evening with a group of people probably chatting to one in particular, exchanging banter, flirting, then go home with them. We might date them for a bit or never see them again or in our case still be together 40 years later.

It's just sex, an enjoyable way of getting to know someone a bit better for an hour or two or a lifetime.
