Agreed, but the last world cup was 3 years ago and a new generation of creative talent has come through which he is not managing well. We look disjointed and out of ideas when teams set up to defend against us.

Croatia were the far better team

Far better is pushing it a little. We look shattered in extra time, Kane and Trippier went off injured. They outlasted us.

That's not the point though, if kane had passed instead of taking the shot then it wouldn't have gone to extra time

Modric was superb as I recall.

You could also argue it was the 1st half decent team they played.

Germany seem to be blowing hot and cold though..they were poor against france but battered Portugal.
