Just wondering

You can buy a private plane or boat but can you buy your own train ?

I would so love a kinky train

Dungeon carriage

Rave carriage

Chilled one etc

Branson did it

How much is a train ?

I’ve got a works van if anyone wants to px

Bit wasted to be fair

Forget it all

Short answer is yes long answer is you have to jump though a ton off hoops and lot off money

But there’s not much money can’t buy in this world just comes down to how much money you have

There and to the left a bit

You can probably lease one but owning and running your own you'd probably need a licence and have to pay fees to Network Rail who own the track - not to mention having to fit around existing timetables etc

Not sure a dungeon on a train would work either, knowing how wobbly they can be as they go along the whips'd keep missing

You can buy trains, you would just need a bit of rail to drive it on.

North West

There are private railways off the Network Rail network. You could run your train a'la East Lancs Railway or Ffestiniog Railway or the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway etc.

Essex

There’s lots of private railways around that you can ride on and if you had a spare 50 acres you could build your own

And every station could have a different sexy theme so your dungeon could be as big as you like I think your on to something op

Yes you can, its easy to buy one however its very very costly and complicated to beable to use it. Theres many groups out there that privately own a loco & maintain as enthusiasts then run it a hand full of times a year privately. The maintenance is very very costly.

There are 'disused' railway lines around the country which are still maintained, that the Royal train uses so they can get about without using all mainlines.

Anyone got the queens number?

Need to have a chat about who to contact

I'm used to getting things back on track after they have come off the rails, so buying, and running a train should be second nature to me. Maybe could even set up in opposition to Richard Branson.

Well I have seen them, I don't think they are stretches of 100s of miles, just bits that are still there that are no longer used by normal trains.
